GUYANA

July 19th-20th, 2008
A Level 1 Introduction to Officiating Course was hosted by the Guyana Rugby Football Union at the Olympic House in Georgetown, Guyana.
The course was delivered by Terrence Grant (Educator of Officials, Guyana) and Scott Harland (IRB Trainer, NAWIRA) with assistance from international official Conrad Arjoon.

JAMAICA

November 8th and 9th, 2008
Nearby hurricane Paloma couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of course participants in the level 1 coaching and level 1 officiating courses held in Montego Bay. Neither rain nor wind nor swampy mud could stop the conductors and participants from getting outside for some practical sessions.
The coaching course was delivered by Victor Hyde, (Coach Educator, Jamaica), and Cornwall County RDO Patrick Alexander, with some occasional assistance from Scott Harland, (IRB Trainer, NAWIRA)
The officiating course was delivered by Mervyn Down (Educator of Officials, Jamaica) and Scott Harland.

Bermuda

A collection of men and women from touch and contact rugby backgrounds gathered in Bermuda for an Introduction to Officiating course (IRB level 1) on November 29th, 2008. The course was delivered by IRB Trainer Scott Harland (NAWIRA) with assistance from international official John Weale (Bermuda).

Norm Mottram, a Coach Educator from USARFU has been working closely with Bermuda RFU to deliver level 1 and 2 Coaching courses in Bermuda. Norm delivered a level 1 IRB course and completed the remaining steps for accreditation for several Level 2 coaches.
