Vehicle Carrying Defence Force Rugby Team Overturns
Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union (TTRFU) President, Leslie Figaro ha sexpressed concern at the news that the entire Defence Force Rugby Team wereinvolved in a vehicular accident in Tobago last night.The Defence Force played and defeated Tobago Rugby Football Club 47-30 in aTTRFU Senior Division fixture on Saturday. On Sunday evening the players werereturning from Charlotteville when the accident occurred."Defence Force has been working very hard and diligently to rebuild their rugbyprogramme after some tough years. The thoughts and prayers of the entire fraternitygo out to the players and their families at this time."According to Figaro the TTRFU will do whatever it can to support the Defence Forcerugby team."The priority is the full recovery of everyone from their injuries."
Bob Latham, President of NACRA expressed the concerns of everyone involved in rugby in the region by saying "The thoughts and prayers of NACRA, the IRB and the worldwide rugby community are with the Trinidad & Tobago union, the injured players and their families.
