Summary of U19 Games - Bermuda Win NACRA Championship
Bermuda 18 Trinidad and Tobago 15
Bermuda rounded off a week long display of entertaining rugby with a 18 to 15 victory over T&T to take the 2010 NACRA U19 Championship. A try with 4 minutes remaining by wing Patrick Richardson, with David Lunn converting secured the victory. T&T took the lead through a John Taylor try. Lunn reduced the lead with a penalty only for T&T to extend the lead through Joseph Quashie. Half time: T&T 10 Bermuda 3. A Jonathan Lewis try early in the second half xtended T&T's lead to 15-3. Horsefield slotted a penalty for Bermuda to reduce the lead to 15-6. Prop Brynly Toms close the gap before Richadson seeled the win with minutes reamining.
In the plate final Mexico defeated Bahamas 22-17 to secure 3rd place in the tournament. Pasqual opened the scoring for Mexico with a penalty only for Bahamas to take the lead minutes later with a Sean Kemp try. Ronaldo Young touched down for Bahamas after 15 minutes to give the hosts a 10-3 half time lead. Mexico reduced the margin with a penalty try which Pasqual converted to level the scores at 10-10. A brace of tried from Soto, with Barbrieria converting the second gave Mexico a 22-10 lead. A second try for Kemp and an Albury conversion reduced the lead to 22-17, though in the end was too late.
In the Bowl final the 2009 Champions Cayman defeated Barbados15-5 to take the spoils. Damon Nurse opened the scoring for Barbados. Cayman fly half and MVP Morgan Heywood reduced the margin to 5-3 with a penalty and added a converted try to his tally to take Cayman's into 10-5 lead. A try by centre Taylor White took Cayman into half time, 15-5, which reamined the score to the end, with both sides being reduced through a series of injuries.

Mexico 17 Barbados 10
Bermuda booked their place in the final on Saturday after a 22-0 win over Cayman. The game never looked in doubt after right wing Darrel scored early in the first half, which centre Lunn duly converted from the touch line. Lunn followed up with a penalty to give Bermuda a 10-0 lead and an uphill struggle for Cayman, playing against a relatively older and more exprienced side. Prop Toms addd another try for Bermuda followed by one for fullback OKelly-Lynch, who once again showed his excellent attacking skills, coming into the line from deep. Lunn once again added the conversion to take the scores to 22-0 to Bermuda at half time. Surprisingly Bermuda could not capitalise on their dominent first half performance and resilient defence from Cayman made for a scorless second half.
In the match for second place in Pool B and a Saturday fixture for 3rd / 4th against Bahamas, Mexico just edged out Barbados with a try in the final minutes from Pedro Auad. Barbados took an early lead through a penalty from Cummings. A Cisners try gave the lead to Mexico, which was exteneded further when No. 8 Gonzalo went over to take Mexico into a 10-3 lead. Center Auguste levelled the scores for Barbados with a try, which he converted himself. Half time: 10-10. The second half was eagerly contested and looked like heading for stalemate until Auad scored for Mexico and Pasqual converted.

In round 2 of the U19s Bermuda edged out local hosts Bahamas with a last second try from Rory O'Kelly Lynch which levelled the scores at 10-10 with David Lunn converting as the final whistle blew. Bahamas took the lead with a try from Kemp which was converted by Charlton. Hooker O'Kelly-Lynch brough the scores back to 7-5 before Charlton added a penalty for Bahamas to take the locals into a 10-5 half time lead. The scores remained until the dying seconds and gave Bermuda a deserved 12-10 win.
In the second match un-fancied Barbados put up an outstanding display against T&T, both in attack and defence. No-one would have predicted Barbados holding T&T to a scoreless first half and it was only deep into the secon half when T&T's superioer fitness and skills shone, with tries from Quashie and Richardson, which Campbell duly converted to give T&T a 14-0 victory. The win for T&T booked their place in the final on Saturday while Bahamas must sit and see whether Cayman can overturn Bermuda in their match on Wednesday.

Bahamas and T&T both got off to flying starts in their respective 2010 Caribbean U19s games, under blistering heat in the Bahamas.
Bahamas scored in the opening minutes of their match against the current Caribbean Champions with prop Burrows scoring after 1 minute. A further try from Burrows and one each for Isaacs and Albury, with Charlton adding 3 conversions gave the locals a 26-3 half-time lead; fly half Harvey opening the scoring for Cayman with a penalty. In the second half Cayman gave a gutsy performance, despite a series of injuries, scoring the only points, again through Harveys boot.
In the second match of Day 1, T&T were out of the blocks early courtesy of a try from full back Quashie, after 2 minutes. Wing Richardson extended the lead to 10-0, which Campbell converted. Ponds brought the scores closer at 12-5 with a try for Mexico (Pascual converted) before a converted Cummings try re-established a 12 points lead for T&T. Half time T&T 19 Mexico 7. In the second half Al-Hakemi extended the T&T lead to 24-7, with Cummings duly converting and Diaz for Mexico went over late in the game to leave the scores at 26-12.
